MHC Alloy Plate

1.What’s MHC Alloy Plate?
MHC alloy plate (Molybdenum Hafnium Carbon Alloy Plate), is a molybdenum-based high-temperature structural material with high-purity molybdenum (Mo ≥98.5%) as the matrix. It is strengthened by the in-situ formation of HfC dispersion phases through the addition of hafnium (Hf: 1.0%–1.2%) and carbon (C: 0.05%–0.15%) under vacuum high-temperature conditions.
2.Characteristics of CTIA’s MHC Alloy Plate
(1) High-temperature strength: ~800 MPa at room temperature and ~500 MPa at 1000°C, suitable for high-temperature load-bearing structures.
(2) Creep resistance: HfC dispersion strengthening effectively suppresses high-temperature deformation and dislocation slip.
(3) Structural stability: recrystallization temperature >1500°C, grain growth is effectively inhibited at high temperatures.
(4) Thermal properties: melting point ~2620°C, high thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, and strong thermal shock resistance.
(5) Machinability: suitable for turning, milling, drilling, and grinding, enabling precision manufacturing applications.
3.Applications of CTIA’s MHC Alloy Plate
CTIA’s MHC alloy plate can be used in vacuum furnace hot-zone systems, including support plates, heating-zone structural parts, and load-bearing components. In high-temperature thermal processing, it is used for die bases and hot-forming tooling. In advanced equipment fields, it is applied in electron beam evaporation systems, X-ray rotating anode target substrates, and vacuum deposition system components. It is also used in aerospace high-temperature structural parts and extreme thermal load-bearing structures.
