MHC Alloy Tube

1.What’s MHC Alloy Tube?
MHC alloy tube (Molybdenum Hafnium Carbon Alloy Tube) is a high-performance tube material made with high-purity molybdenum as the matrix, incorporating hafnium and carbon elements through powder metallurgy, high-temperature densification, and thermomechanical processing.
2.Advantages of CTIA’s MHC Alloy Tube
CTIA’s MHC alloy tube offers excellent high-temperature mechanical properties and structural stability. It maintains high tensile strength and load-bearing capacity above 1000°C. Due to the dispersion strengthening of HfC nano- and micro-particles, the tube exhibits outstanding creep resistance and high-temperature deformation resistance, effectively suppressing long-term deformation. Its microstructure is also resistant to grain coarsening and softening at elevated temperatures. In addition, it retains key thermal properties of molybdenum, including high melting point, low thermal expansion coefficient, and excellent thermal shock resistance, along with stable thermal conductivity, making it suitable for heat transfer and uniform temperature distribution in demanding thermal field applications.
3.Production of CTIA’s MHC Alloy Tube
High-purity molybdenum powder (Mo ≥98.5%) is blended with hafnium (Hf: 1.0%–1.2%) and carbon (C: 0.05%–0.15%). The mixture is compacted via cold isostatic pressing and densified through high-temperature sintering. It is then formed into tubes by hot extrusion or rotary rolling, followed by multi-step heat treatments to optimize grain structure and density distribution.
4.Applications of CTIA’s MHC Alloy Tube
CTIA’s MHC alloy tube is used in: (1) radiation and protection tubes for vacuum high-temperature furnaces; (2) gas transport pipelines in semiconductor processes; (3) structural tubes in electron beam and ion beam equipment; (4) high-temperature gas flow and thermal field transfer systems; (5) aerospace hot-section protective structures; (6) high-end industrial thermal field load-bearing components.
