MHC Alloy Ring

1. What's MHC Alloy Ring?
MHC alloy ring (Molybdenum Hafnium Carbon Alloy Ring) is a high-performance high-temperature structural ring material made with high-purity molybdenum as the matrix. It is produced by adding hafnium (Hf) and carbon (C) through powder metallurgy processes. The in-situ generated HfC dispersion strengthening phase overcomes the high-temperature softening limitations of pure molybdenum, making it an important high-temperature load-bearing rotary component in modern industrial ultra-high temperature sealing, insulation, and fluid control systems.
2. Advantages of CTIA's MHC Alloy Ring
(1) Tensile strength approximately 600–900 MPa at room-temperature, maintaining about 300–500 MPa at 1000°C.
(2) HfC dispersion phase effectively suppresses dislocation slip and high-temperature creep deformation.
(3) Recrystallization temperature can be raised above 1500°C, significantly reducing high-temperature grain growth rate.
(4) Thermal conductivity approximately 120–150 W/(m·K), offering superior thermal diffusion capability compared to most refractory alloys.
(5) Low thermal expansion coefficient (5×10⁻⁶/K), providing excellent thermal shock resistance and cyclic thermal stability.
3. Applications of CTIA's MHC Alloy Ring
(1) Semiconductor Equipment Thermal Field: Structural support rings for diffusion furnaces, MOCVD (Metal-Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition), and epitaxial equipment.
(2) Vacuum High-Temperature Furnaces: Structural rings in heating zones, heat shield rings, and load-bearing positioning rings.
(3) Electron Beam / Ion Beam Equipment: High-temperature target support rings and beam stabilization structural parts.
(4) Aerospace: Engine hot-end structural rings, heat-resistant supports, and insulation assemblies.
(5) High-Temperature Material Testing Equipment: Thermal cycling test fixtures, load-bearing rings, and positioning structures.
(6) Metal Hot Working Equipment: Mold guide rings, limit rings, and high-temperature assembly structural parts.
(7) Nuclear Energy and Special Energy Equipment: High-temperature sealing rings and structural support components in irradiation environments.
