MHC Alloy Round Bar

1. What’s MHC Alloy Round Bar?
MHC alloy round bar (Molybdenum Hafnium Carbon Alloy Round Bar) is a high-performance molybdenum-based alloy round bar material. It utilizes high-purity molybdenum as the matrix, with the addition of hafnium and carbon elements to form an in-situ generated HfC dispersion-strengthening phase via powder metallurgy processes. By fully utilizing the pinning effect of HfC particles, it significantly enhances the comprehensive high-temperature performance of the material.
2. Characteristics of CTIA's MHC Alloy Round Bar
(1) Excellent High-temperature Strength
The tensile strength is approximately 800 MPa at room temperature and still reaches 500 MPa at 1000°C, making it suitable for ultra-high temperature load-bearing structures.
(2) Superior Creep Resistance
The HfC dispersion strengthening effectively suppresses high-temperature deformation and dislocation slip.
(3) High Microstructural Stability
The recrystallization temperature exceeds 1500°C, meaning grain growth and softening are strongly inhibited at high temperatures.
(4) Outstanding Thermal Properties
With a melting point of approximately 2620°C, it features high thermal conductivity and low expansion, providing strong thermal shock resistance.
(5) Good Machining Performance
The alloy can undergo precision machining such as turning, milling, and grinding, making it suitable for customizing various complex components.
3. Applications of CTIA's MHC Alloy Round Bar
(1) High-temperature Vacuum Furnaces: Heating electrode rods, structural supporting round bars, and connecting parts.
(2) Metal Hot Forming: Hot extrusion die mandrels and forging die rod components for copper and copper alloys.
(3) High-end Industrial Equipment: Drive rods for electron beam processing equipment, critical round bars for vacuum deposition systems, and supporting structures for X-ray targets.
(4) Aerospace: Lightweight high-temperature round bar structural parts and load-bearing components that withstand extreme thermal loads.
4. Specifications of CTIA's MHC Alloy Round Bar
